Bingöl İl Jandarma Komutanlığı tarafından yapılan açıklamada, uyuşturucu arama köpeğinin şüpheli iki kişiye tepki vermesi üzerine kişilerin üst aramasının yapıldığı belirtildi. Aramada 51 adet uyuşturucu hap ve 9 gram toz esrar maddesi ele geçirildiği, olayla ilgili adli işlemlerin başlatıldığı ifade edildi.
Jandarma ekiplerinin uyuşturucu ile mücadele kapsamında gerçekleştirdiği bu tür operasyonların, uyuşturucu ticareti ve kullanımını engelleme amacı taşıdığı vurgulandı. Özellikle narkotik köpeklerinin operasyondaki başarılarının, uyuşturucuyla mücadelede önemli bir rol oynadığı belirtildi. Yetkililer, bu tür denetim ve operasyonların artarak devam edeceğini bildirdi.
