MİT ve polisin düzenlediği operasyonla, Hatay'ın Reyhanlı ilçesinde 11 Mayıs 2013'te 53 kişinin hayatını kaybettiği bombalı saldırının faillerinden Cengiz Sertel yakalandı.
Hatay Valiliği’nden konuyla ilgili yapılan açıklamada; “MİT Başkanlığı ile Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğümüz koordinesinde* Hatay Emniyet Müdürlüğünce yürütülen çalışmalarda, Hatay Reyhanlı'da 11 Mayıs 2013'te meydana gelen saldırıların faillerinden olan (eylemde kullanılan patlayıcıları Suriye'den yurda aktaran) Cengiz SERTEL'in yakalanması sağlanmıştır.
1. Uluslararası düzeyde Kırmızı Bülten ile aranmakta, İçişleri Bakanlığı Terör Arananlar Listesi Turuncu kategoride yer almaktadır” denildi.
