25 Şubat'ta, bir taksicinin taksimetre açmadan yolcuları "Kuruçeşme'den Şişli'ye 280 liraya" götürdüğü videonun sosyal medyada yer alması üzerine İstanbul Emniyet Müdürlüğü Ekipleri çalışma başlattı.
Ekipler, yaptığı çalışma sonucu kimliğini belirlenen taksi sürücüsü Y.Y. yakalandı.
Sürücüye, Karayolları Trafik Kanunu’nun "belediyeden alınma çalışma ruhsatı olmadığı halde taşımacılık yapmak" ve "taksimetre açmamak" maddelerinden toplam 9 bin 574 lira ceza uygulandı.
Ayrıca, taksinin çalışma ruhsatı iptal edilerek araç trafikten men edildi.
