Demokratik Sol Parti (DSP) Genel Başkanı Önder Aksakal, Avrupa Sosyalist Partisi (PES) Liderler Toplantısı’nda konuşan CHP Genel Başkanı Özgür Özel’in, Avrupa Konseyi Başkanı António Costa’nın yalnızca açılış konuşmasını yaparak programdan ayrılmasını eleştirmesine tepki gösterdi.
Aksakal, Özel’in eleştiri gerekçelerinin Türkiye siyasetine doğrudan müdahale talebi anlamına geldiğini savunarak, asıl kabul edilemez olanın bu yaklaşım olduğunu ifade etti. Açıklamasında, “Atatürk’ün kurduğu bir ülkede iktidar için icazet emperyalizmin aktörlerinden değil, milletten alınır” ifadelerine yer verdi.
Önder Aksakal, CHP Genel Başkanı Özel’in siyasi tutumuna ilişkin eleştirilerini sürdürerek, yaşanan sürecin Türkiye’nin iç siyasetini ilgilendirdiğini ve bu konularda dış odaklardan medet umulmasının doğru olmadığını dile getirdi.
